Hi there!
First of all, thank you for visiting my about me page, you’re a rare unicorn!
Secondly, hi! (again), my name’s Andy Gibson and it’s because of people like me that the saying goes “Never say never!”
Why?
Well, let me start at the beginning…
I grew up in a small town of about 10,000 people, then I moved to a bigger city nearby to study at university. I ended up getting a job there, and so I stayed in my quick-paced city.
The traffic jams, the busy people rushing somewhere and nowhere never bothered me, I actually enjoyed it! Aaah, the good ole days!
All was well, that is until I hit my 28th birthday! It came out of nowhere – I just got fed up with all the haste, all the frustrated people trying to make it quicker to home after their jobs.
That’s when I started to dab my pinky toe in the possibility of moving back to my childhood town.
Long story short – I bought a house in the middle of the woods with a 5-acre land, just 10 miles outside my hometown.
OK? So, why do you have a gardening site, Andy?
Great question! Well, because even though I grew up in a small town, it still wasn’t like living in the countryside on a farm. Now, as I’m writing this and looking outside of my window at the forest in front of me, it feels like I’m living on a ‘so-many-things-to-do’ land!
I was clueless for the first year living here. I didn’t know what to do with the 5 acres of grass all around.
This was me: John Travolta from Pulp Fiction and Julie Andrews from The Sound of Music (yes, both at the same time):
While the movies were great, the feeling I felt back then standing on a hot summer’s day in the middle of an overgrown grass field- not so much!
Fast forward 5 years later and I have a bit knowledge on what to do and what NOT to do in your yard and/or garden.
So, here’s me putting my 2 cents out there on everything related to maintaining small and bigger yards, growing your own plants in your gardening and much more!
I appreciate you visiting my blog! :)

Happy gardening!
